Utah Limited Early Release (LER) Goldbacks are officially here! Back in 2019, Utah made history as the very first state to launch a Goldback series. Today, we’re returning to where it all began with with the launch of the Utah LER.

With only 4,000 in existence, you have a unique opportunity to own a rare piece of the Goldback legacy! You can earn a graded Utah 3 Goldback for free through our LER program, or purchase one from a Goldback distributor.

What is the LER Program?

The Limited Early Release program rewards those who sign up a new business to accept Goldbacks as payment. It’s a hands-on way to get involved in the movement and help grow the Goldback network.

Rewards vary by location, but for every Utah business you bring into the network, both you and the business owner will receive a graded Utah 3 Goldback completely free!

How It Works

1. Find a Business: Identify a business in Utah that would be a great fit for accepting Goldbacks as payment. This can be a business you frequent, or even one you own.
2. Complete the Application: Have the business to fill out our application. If you referred them, make sure they list you as a referral. If you are signing up your own business, you can leave that section blank.
3. Get Approved: After the application is submitted, we will review the business to ensure it meets our criteria.
4. Receive Your Utah LER: Once approved, both the referring individual and the business owner will receive a graded Utah 3 Goldback.

The Meaning Behind the Artwork

The Limited Early Release (LER) Utah 3 Goldback depicts the virtue Celeritas, or Speed, as a 1930s racecar driver in a classic Hudson Speedster. Clad in vintage racing gear, she tears through the white expanse of Utah’s iconic Bonneville Salt Flats. This historic site became the ultimate proving ground, where drivers pushed the limits of engineering to set world land-speed records.

A flock of California seagulls—the Utah state bird—fly overhead. They symbolize the freedom of racing across open land and the split-second adaptability required to set world records. UV-reactive ink illuminates the car’s headlights and reveals a racing flag flying behind the car.

Celeritas represents the relentless pursuit of progress that defined these early racers. Along the bottom is the enduring principle: “Do what must be done, without delay.”
