A New Silverback is Coming!
If you’ve been part of the Goldback community for a while now, you may have heard of Silverbacks—or even own some yourself. We’ve done a few limited silver projects through partnerships, including Silver Dragons and Zombucks. After countless requests and much anticipation, we’re thrilled to announce the revival of the Silverback brand! Here’s everything you need to know.
What Are Silverbacks?
Silverbacks are silver collectibles that bridge the gap between fine art and precious metals. Each one features unique, hand-crafted artwork and contains 1/1,000 t oz of silver. Silverbacks are not made to be a currency. Instead, they’re valued for their craftsmanship, storytelling, and collectibility.
Introducing: The Hades Silverback
The Hades Silverback is the first release in a new series exploring the Greek pantheon. It will be available in both graded and ungraded versions. The first 10,000 are currently being graded, with 1,000 being set aside as a higher-tier collectible. To set them apart, those 1,000 will have a different color, similar to the first Silver Dragons that were produced.
Grading silver can be a meticulous process. We were hoping to launch this month, but now the goal is January! We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as they drop.

Why Create a Silverback?
While many people would love to see a spendable silver currency, current production costs make that unrealistic. However, Silverbacks will still make a big impact as a collectible. Here’s why:
- Silverbacks are highly sought after. For years, people have wondered when the next one is coming. They’re the number one product request we get!
- We use Silverbacks to help grow the merchant network. Through the LER Program, we reward people for signing up new businesses to accept Goldbacks. In states that do not have LER Goldbacks, we send graded Silverbacks instead. So, a new Silverback means more incentive to grow the network.
- Silverbacks introduce new audiences to precious metals. Silverbacks allow precious metals to exist in spaces where they might not be seen otherwise. They’re a great fit for trading card retailers, curiosity shops, and other collectible stores.

How to Get the Hades Silverback
Once available, the new Silverbacks can be purchased through our distributor network or earned through the LER Program.
Stay tuned for the official release date—and for more of the pantheon to drop! Welcome to a new era of silver collectibles.
