What is an LER Goldback?

A Limited Early Release Goldback is a collectible 3 Goldback with a limited mintage, and the first Goldback released in an upcoming series. LERs are used as an incentive to help grow the Goldback merchant network in a new region. Individuals can earn a graded LER completely free every time they sign up new businesses to accept Goldbacks as payment. The business will also receive an LER as a thank-you for joining the network.

While the LER is designed to be a reward, a small batch of graded California LERs have been released for sale. They can be purchased directly from a Goldback authorized distributor.

Features of the California LER

The California LER Goldback incorporates the latest anti-counterfeiting tech and design details, including:

  • Use of spot color
  • Hidden UV-reactive ink
  • Unique serial numbers
  • Detailed, region-inspired artwork

Each of these features adds a layer of security, allowing the holder to know instantly that it’s genuine 24K gold.

California LER Artwork

The artwork on the California LER Goldback represents the virtue Harmonia, or Harmony. It depicts a surfer riding a wave along the state’s iconic coastline, representing the balance that exists between humanity and nature. Hidden UV ink reveals a sea turtle swimming beneath the water alongside the surfer.

Florida 1/4 Goldback

Florida Studio (1:4)

The Florida 1/4 Goldback is the newest and smallest denomination in the Florida Goldback series. It contains 1/4,000th of a troy ounce of 24K gold, giving users more flexibility when owning and spending gold. The artwork is a tribute to Florida’s peaceful marine life.

What is a 1/4 Goldback?

A 1/4 Goldback is the smallest mass-produced gold product in the world, containing just 1/4,000th of a troy ounce of pure 24K gold. The 1/4 Goldback is part of a larger currency system that includes 8 active denominations, all of which are fungible with each other. The 1/4 Goldback is accepted as payment at over 5,000 businesses and allows users to spend gold on small, everyday transactions.

Features of the Florida 1/4 Goldback

The Florida 1/4 incorporates all of the latest Goldback security features, including:
