Verifying the gold in a goldback

A single Goldback contains 1/1,000th of an ounce of gold but… how does anyone know for sure? For starters, Goldbacks are assayed twice, once by the manufacturer and a second time by a third-party. It is extremely important to us to never send out Goldbacks that are ‘light’. In fact, most are ~2% heavy.
