The 5th Goldback State will be… South Dakota! (and other news)

South Dakota was chosen as the fifth State to have their own Goldback! It was initially announced in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Freedomfest convention being held there. Goldbacks can be purchased at Dakota Coin in Rapid City by locals. We don’t expect this Goldback series to be completed until the second half of 2022.

The effort of the Goldback team is going to be shifting towards signing up featured businesses in States with their own Goldback series. The hope is to eventually have several hundred businesses in each Goldback State. We are also trying to find more efficient ways to encourage people within the Goldback States to circulate the Goldback more often. It is likely that many of the next Goldback States will also be low population States, there are nearly a dozen projects at some stage of development.
