Utah 2019 - Present
The State of Utah was done first in the second half of 2019, Utah was chosen in large part due to the passage of the Utah Legal Tender Act in 2011 but also because Utah is Goldback’s home state. A small handful of patriots lent their private gold holdings in Goldback Inc. in order to produce this series despite there being a lack of strong evidence that it would prove to be popular.
Nevada 2020 - Present
When the original Utah Goldback series was completed the plan was to perhaps not do any additional States. The team was a bit overwhelmed by how popular Goldbacks turned out to be and just how much interest there was to make more of them. One of the early investors in Goldback was Mark Voelker. He advocated strongly for Nevada to be the second series and he staked some of his own money on the project. The people of Nevada can thank him for getting this series going.
New Hampshire 2020 - Present
It may be a wonder to some that New Hampshire wasn’t the first State with their own Goldback. A group of Libertarians that has decided to stay anonymous with the Free State Project helped kickstart this series. This series has a Revolutionary War theme that we are particularly proud of. New Hampshire was released in 2021 but it was being produced in 2020 so there are Goldbacks in this series with the 2020 date.
Wyoming 2022 - Present
Wyoming Goldbacks were funded entirely by residents of the State in 2021. This series features a new artist “Annette Anthony”. The first year available is 2022.
South Dakota 2023 - Present
The South Dakota State series released on September 19, 2023. This series marks the 5th Goldback State produced in the 5 year history of Goldback Inc. It is the second series from artist Annette Anthony. The South Dakota series consists of entirely unique Virtues for the first four denominations, with only Libertas repeating on the 50 Design, as always.
